SPEEDY 4all Ergo
-
The SPEEDY 4all Ergo active rigid frame wheelchair features a slender frame geometry with an ergonomic seat fold. This results in a stable seat position with a ‘Tuber stop’.
Choose from 6 frame and 3 chassis parameters to configure the frame optimally to the user’s requirements. The front end is available with a G-shape or a V-shape. The front frame tubes are relatively short so that footrests can be folded back even with short lower leg lengths, and they offer optimal foot clearance when folded up to the rear.
Many settings can also be made retroactively. The tipping point, seat heights or seat angle can be continuously adapted to the user’s needs.
The greater stability of the frame means that there is nothing to stop you from adding an adaptive bike, traction device or other adapters.
Are you looking for a wheelchair with these exact properties, but want a frame tailored even more individually to your needs? Then SPEEDY 4you Ergo is the right wheelchair for you. Details >
Perfect physiological seat position
The ergonomic seat fold gives a stable and comfortable seat position.
Frame stems are available in G-shape or V-shape versions for optimal lower leg guidance. Frame retraction is not available for leg guidance at thigh level (if you need this feature, you have to choose the SPEEDY 4you Ergo).
You can choose knee angles of 95°, for a compact seat position, or 105°, for comfort.
Option: Integral parking brake
The new, attractive integral parking brake is convenient to use. When the brake is off, it is swivelled completely underneath the frame so that more space is created for finger and hand movement. The brake is installed so that it is barely visible under the frame, highlighting the wheelchair’s slender design.
Option: One-hand operation
For users with hemiplegia or other restrictions affecting one side of their body, a highly manoeuvrable one-hand operation set-up with a double-gripper wheel drive can be mounted up to a camber of 2°. Different gripper wheel materials, external diameters and distances to the rim meet a wide range of requirements. The drive wheels can be removed using a floating axle for simple handling.
The one-hand operation set-up can be combined with the 'One-handed knee lever brake'. When the brake on one side is activated, a Bowden cable moves the brake pins on both sides.
Sturdy frame for maximum mobility and compatibility
The frame is rated for loads of up to 120 kg.
Adapters let you connect traction devices and adaptive bikes in just a few steps, while the sturdy frame ensures optimal handling of the combination. The optional removable wheelbase extension offers even better traction when it is needed. This wheelbase extension adds very little weight to the wheelchair and is easy to attach to the wheelchair without any tools as required.
Compatibility with wheelchair drives like e-fix, e-motion or Twion, for example, can also be provided upon request.
The SPEEDY 4all Ergo is crash-tested. Transport restraint systems for wheelchairs in motor vehicles are available as optional extras, as are crash-tested headrests.
Simple transport
Thanks to the minimal frame geometry, the easy-to-fold backrest and the ability to remove component groups without tools, the SPEEDY 4all Ergo wheelchairs are ideal for independent loading.
Various back systems
The backrest can be folded and adjusted at seven different angles (without tools), offering flexible seat positions. It is particularly helpful when using adaptive bikes and traction devices, as the ability to adjust the backrest angle forward (perpendicular to the ground) is very useful to compensate for the raised caster wheels. This backrest is available as a lightweight adaptable back with back padding (belt system for optimal adjustment of slack and padded lumbar support) or as a sturdy back shell (very sturdy with fixed slack and adjustable lumbar support).
The ERGO Back backrest bar is also available as an option in addition to the adjustable back and the back shell. This backrest bar relieves the strain on your back by allowing you to lean back, and adds an attractive visual touch. The recessed gripping areas mean that you do not need any push handles, and also prevent unwelcome pushing by others.
Range of seat systems
A range of seat systems is available for the SPEEDY 4all Ergo. The ‘open belt system’ seat cover lets users adjust the pressure distribution using belts. The ‘body contour’ seat cover provides a cushioning effect, absorbing impacts and helping prevent pressure ulcers. It is highly breathable and sturdy (the material is double-stitched to counteract the ‘hammock’ effect). You can also select seat plates as a sturdy seat system with no slack.
Wide range of optional extras and accessories
Each SPEEDY 4all Ergo is a customised model, with frame dimensions and equipment that are always tailored to the wheelchair user’s needs. You can choose from a wide range of equipment for the SPEEDY 4all Ergo, including footrests, brakes, push handles, back and seat systems, clothing guards, armrests, as well as drive and caster wheels.
Role in the film "Die Goldfische"
In the German film ‘Die Goldfische’ (The Goldfish), the leading actor Tom Schilling uses a custom-fit SPEEDY 4all Ergo. Tom Schilling spent several weeks learning how to use a wheelchair to prepare for the film.
