SPEEDY F2
-
The SPEEDY F2 rigid frame wheelchair excels with its completely customised and welded frame (including the axle) and the resulting unbeatable handling characteristics on both smooth and bumpy surfaces! The frame is fully tailored to the user’s individual dimensions and requests, making it the ideal choice, particularly for experienced wheelchair users.
14 frame and chassis parameters can be freely configured, including knee angle, frame retraction, wheelbase and lower leg width at the top and bottom. The SPEEDY F2 is incredibly versatile with its individual frame designs, the different back versions and the various options.
The standard frame version is rated for loads of up to 120 kg. With the Heavy Duty equipment, the SPEEDY F2 is ideal even for heavier loads of up to 200 kg.
Adapters let you connect traction devices and adaptive bikes in just a few steps, while the sturdy frame ensures optimal handling of the combination. The optional removable or fixed, welded wheelbase extension offers even better traction when it is needed.
The systematic weight optimisation (total weights starting at just 8.5 kg) and compact dimensions when folded make it very easy to load.
Are you looking for an individual wheelchair with these characteristics, but need the option to adjust the seat height and tipping point? Then SPEEDY 4you Ergo is the right wheelchair for you. Details >
‘Sample version’ for people of small stature or very tall people
The dimensions of the SPEEDY F2 are so flexible that the frame can be implemented for both people of small stature with seat widths starting at 25 cm and heights of 100 cm (also with steps above the footplate) and for people over 2 metres tall. If you need custom dimensions, your specialist dealer will be happy to help you at any time.
‘Sample version’ for offroad use with steering attachments or traction devices
With offroad tyres and a choice of permanently welded or removable wheelbase extension, the SPEEDY F2 is perfectly equipped, even on rough terrain, with steering attachments or traction devices. The wheelbase extension can also be equipped with a disk brake for more braking power.
‘Sample version’ for amateur and elite sports
The SPEEDY F2 can be configured as a lightweight and highly rigid everyday wheelchair that also lets you use the same wheelchair for sports like dancing, paragliding, badminton, tennis, crossfit, calisthenics etc. For an evening dance class, it’s easy to add a central anti-tipping support – no tools necessary – and you are good to go.
The SPEEDY F2 also looks great as a world-class table tennis wheelchair. For use as a fencing wheelchair, the SPEEDY F2 is equipped with a grab bar on one side for the fencer to hold on to, while fencing with the other hand.
Optional extra for athletes: Removable central anti-tipping support
As an accessory, PRO ACTIV offers athletes a rotating central anti-tipping support that can be removed (without tools), for maximum manoeuvrability and static stability. These accessories turn the everyday wheelchair into a sports machine in seconds. It’s ideal for beginners and amateur sportspeople who just want to use one wheelchair for everyday life and sports thanks to the simple handling.
The ball-bearing mounted skate wheel and rotating fork of the central anti-tipping support ensure manoeuvrability, smooth running and quick changes in direction. The ground clearance of the anti-tipping support can be adjusted continuously via clamps.
‘Sample version’ for leg amputees
The SPEEDY F2 can be configured without a frame stem and without a footrest for leg amputees.
Various back systems
A lightweight, permanently bolted into place backrest is included as standard equipment. As an option, the backrest can be folded and adjusted at seven different angles (without tools), offering flexible seat positions. It is particularly helpful when using adaptive bikes and traction devices, as the ability to adjust the backrest angle forward (perpendicular to the ground) is very useful to compensate for the raised caster wheels. These backrests are available as lightweight adaptable backs with back padding (belt system for optimal adjustment of slack and padded lumbar support) or as a sturdy back shell (very sturdy with fixed slack and adjustable lumbar support).
The ERGO Back backrest bar is also available as an option in addition to the adjustable back and the back shell. This backrest bar relieves the strain on your back by allowing you to lean back, and adds an attractive visual touch. The recessed gripping areas mean that you do not need any push handles, and also prevent unwelcome pushing by others.
Range of seat systems
A range of seat systems is available for the SPEEDY F2. The ‘open belt system’ seat cover lets users adjust the pressure distribution using belts. The ‘body contour’ seat cover provides a cushioning effect, absorbing impacts and helping prevent pressure ulcers. It is highly breathable and sturdy (the material is double-stitched to counteract the ‘hammock’ effect). You can also select seat plates as a sturdy seat system with no slack.
Special customised frame design options
The frame is perfectly tailored to the user with the choice of 14 frame parameters. The axle is permanently welded to the user’s chosen dimensions, which offers weight advantages (the tipping point and rear seat height cannot be adjusted retroactively; the only adjustment available is the front seat height by using different caster fork and caster wheel sizes). The seat fold is automatically integrated into the design if more reclined seat angles are ordered.
The frame stem can include a frame retraction. A frame retraction means that the upper frame tubes taper towards the front when looking at the frame from above (from a bird’s eye perspective). This enables the user to keep their thighs closer together and also looks better. The lower leg guide can be individually defined with the ‘upper and lower front frame width’ frame dimensions.
Wide range of optional extras and accessories
Each SPEEDY F2 is a customised model, with frame dimensions and equipment that are always tailored to the wheelchair user’s needs. You can choose from a wide range of equipment for the SPEEDY F2, including footrests, brakes, push handles, back and seat systems, clothing guards, armrests, as well as drive and caster wheels.
