In collaboration with young athletes of the teenage sports group Wheelers at the sports clubs MTV Stuttgart and RSKV Tuebingen, we have developed an outstanding teenage handbike. The FREAK compact bike consists of a drive unit and a stable girder chassis, which can be separated for transportation within seconds. Its easy handling, dimensions and optimised weight are specially designed for the success and fun of our young customers. The ideal sports equipment for kids and teenagers who enjoy exercising.
With its adjusted steering geometry, long wheelbase and even weight distribution the FREAK bike has excellent handling characteristics. Top-quality gear and brake components from the bicycle industry ensure precise switching of gears and braking. The handbike equipment is variable, from touring bike to sports bike.
The back angle can be adjusted without any tools. That way it can also be quickly adjusted to your personal needs when you are on the road.
The electrically supported version FREAK el. compact bike is equipped with a pedelec system. When pedalling, the drive system supports the rider at the set support level with speeds of up to 24.9 km/h. This allows users to cover long distances faster and with less exertion.
Sturdy recumbent bike with extensive equipment options
The FREAK compact bike is very sturdy and offers excellent handling characteristics thanks to its design and the materials used. The wide range of components and equipment lets every biker customise the FREAK optimally to their personal needs.
Tool-free dismantling enables a small pack size
Just a few steps turn the compact bike into an easy-to-stow package by separating the chassis and drive unit using an eccentric quick release clamp. The rear wheels can be removed via a quick-release axle. The FREAK is a real lightweight; it’s perfect for loading with an overall weight starting at just 14.8 kg.
Adjustability creates flexibility
The back angle can be infinitely adjusted without any tools. The back position is also adjustable lengthways. That allows it to be adapted to changing requirements at any time.
Different gear shift systems
There is a wide range of high-quality mechanical hub gears from Shimano and Rohloff. Mechanical and electronic dérailleur systems from Shimano are also available. They can be operated from the handle or using a chin control. This allows every user find the perfect equipment for their needs. A bottom bracket gearhift that allows dérailleur systems to be shifted while at a standstill can also be combined, which is very helpful for hill starts, for example.
Effective brakes
Some hub gear units include an easy-to-use back-pedal brake.
Where dérailleur gear systems or hub gear units with freewheel hubs are equipped, you can use the high-quality, reliable disk and rim brakes to slow down and brake precisely for first-class control. They are operated from the handle.
Optimum adjustment to the user’s requirements and capabilities
With a range of bottom bracket supports, grip widths and crank lengths, the FREAK compact bike dimensions can be perfectly adapted to the user’s needs for an enjoyable ride and perfect control. Wheel sizes of 20'' and 26'' are available. The height and angle of the neck rest can also be adjusted.
The adjustable bottom bracket supports can be chosen as an option, which can be adjusted in angle and length to meet the user’s changing needs.

Each FREAK compact bike is a customised model, with dimensions and equipment that are always tailored to the wheelchair user’s needs.
Users with functional impairments can choose optional features like different handles and supports.
