SPEEDY F1 4badminton
-
With its protruding anti-tipping supports, the badminton frame of the SPEEDY F1 4badminton allows extremely aggressive positioning of the axle tube. Anti-tipping supports extended far to the rear and a wide wheelbase of the caster wheels ensure absolute stability.
In combination with a large camber, these features give the wheelchair its superb manoeuvrability and optimal acceleration characteristics.
The SPEEDY F1 4badminton wheelchair can be defined with nine selectable frame and six chassis parameters, such as knee angle, frame retraction and the lower leg width at the top and bottom. The complete frame is manufactured as per the wheelchair user's individual dimensions and requests.
Special customised frame design options
The firmly welded frame is perfectly tailored to the user with the choice of nine frame parameters. The caster wheels can be positioned far in front of the footplate, which prevents the chair from tilting forward, even with extreme movements.
The frame stem can include a frame retraction. This enables the user to keep their thighs closer together and also looks better. The lower leg guide can be individually defined with the ‘upper and lower front frame width’ frame dimensions.
The perfect fit and optimum weight distribution as well as the firmly welded chassis result in the best possible conversion of muscle strength into movement and therefore the easiest possible implementation of demanding manoeuvres.
Option: Footplate supports
As an option, different footplate supports such as "front edge" or "box shape" can be selected, which provide secure positioning for the feet.
Various anti-tipping supports, depending on the playing position and personal requirements
It is possible to choose between anti-tipping supports mounted on both sides and central anti-tipping supports. The anti-tipping supports are extended far to the rear and ensure optimum stability.
The rotating anti-tipping forks can be selected as permanently bolted in or removable via quick-release axle (operable from above). The ground clearance can be adjusted.
The height and ground clearance of the adjustable anti-tipping supports can be changed without tools, so that they can be spontaneously adjusted to suit the ground conditions of the playing field and the playing habits.
Sturdy frame for maximum mobility and excellent handling characteristics
The standard frame version is rated for loads of up to 120 kg. With the Heavy Duty equipment, it is also ideal for heavier loads of up to 150 kg.
The SPEEDY F1 4badminton is extremely robust thanks to the frame geometry and the use of top-quality oversized tubes with a diameter of 40 mm. This results in excellent handling characteristics and very good manoeuvrability.
Option: Overlite frame version
On the SPEEDY F1 overlite, the complete seat unit is shaped out of one aluminium tube based on individual dimensions. This leads to enormous weight savings. Since the backrest is rigid, there is no play in the seat unit. As a result, the wheelchair responds to any of the wheelchair user's movements, however small they may be.
Various back systems
A lightweight, permanently bolted backrest is included as standard equipment. As an option, the backrest can be folded and adjusted at seven different angles (without tools), offering flexible seat positions and a smaller pack size when folded down. These backrests are available as lightweight adaptable backs with back padding (belt system for optimal adjustment of slack and padded lumbar support) or as a sturdy back shell (very sturdy with fixed slack and adjustable lumbar support), offering good freedom of movement.
The ERGO Back backrest bar is also available as an option in addition to the adjustable back and the back shell. This backrest bar provides high stability for the backrest thanks to its closed tube bends, offers stability when leaning back for overhead shots, and it looks great too. Upon request, the ERGO Back backrest bar can be produced with lordosis support and/or an outer projection in the upper section.
Range of seat systems
A range of seat systems is available for the SPEEDY F1 4badminton. The ‘open belt system’ seat cover lets users adjust the pressure distribution using belts. The ‘body contour’ seat cover provides a cushioning effect, absorbing impacts and helping prevent pressure ulcers. It is highly breathable and sturdy (the material is double-stitched to counteract the ‘hammock’ effect). You can also select seat plates as a sturdy seat system with no slack.
Wide range of optional extras and accessories
Each SPEEDY F1 4badminton is a customised model, with frame dimensions and equipment that are always tailored to the wheelchair user’s needs. A wide range of selectable equipment is available. Specific details such as a high handrim attachment for optimum power transmission and high acceleration are also possible.
