Outdoor wheel attachment

The Outdoor wheel attachment turns the wheelchair into an all-terrain vehicle for cobblestones, gravel and forest trails, as the caster wheels are raised off the ground and the larger 12" wheel of the wheel attachment makes it much easier to travel over uneven surfaces. The wheel attachment can be ordered along with the wheelchair using the order form.
The wheel attachment is quick and easy to attach without any tools using the quick release lever or the locking plate.
The fork of the Outdoor wheel attachment is available as a fixed version or with a steering fork that can be set to swivel or be fixed in place at any time.

The wheel of the Outdoor wheel attachment with a steering fork swivels 360° and can be locked in a straight ahead position with one motion, maximising flexibility. The swivel feature lets the wheelchair user steer and manoeuvre the wheelchair easily – even over rough terrain. Locked in the centre position with one motion, the steering attachment is perfect for pushing by an accompanying person. The wheel can be removed from the support tube via a quick-release lever for transport.

The Outdoor wheel attachment with a fixed fork is ideal for pushing by an accompanying person. The larger 12" wheel of the wheel attachment and the fact that the caster wheels are raised from the ground allows the wheelchair to be pushed over uneven terrain. Often used by parents who go jogging with their child in a wheelchair, the wheel attachment tracks easily straight ahead for long straight sections, and avoids wheel flutter at higher speeds, and the wheels jamming sideways requiring unnecessary exertion when pushing.
Quick adaptation and disconnecting
The wheel attachment is quick and easy to adapt and disconnect without any tools using the quick release lever. The wheel attachment can generally be attached to PRO ACTIV SPEEDY rigid frame wheelchairs, TRAVELER folding frame wheelchairs, and BUDDY and LITTY children’s wheelchairs.
